With an app, you usually don’t get rich. However, at least with a little advertising the costs can be covered.
There are many factors that make an app costly.
A few examples are:
- Development time: To develop an app or a website, you need several months of time. And then the app is far from finished. Because a program is a living organism that wants to be maintained and expanded.
- Server costs: The website and user data must be backed up somewhere. This is done by a server on which the data is located. These are ongoing costs that want to be paid for.
- Publishing platforms: Google Play or the App Store charge money to place the app on them. Fortunately, on Google Play it’s only a one-time $25 charge. Apple, however, wants to charge $99 a year… And as long as I can’t cover these costs, I won’t be able to publish the app in the app store.
- Licensing costs: Currently I do not use any licensing resources, but they can quickly become very expensive if used. These can be images, videos or even songs that are used in the app.
For these reasons, I’m afraid I have no choice but to run a bit of advertising in the app.
I ask you to be a little calm on the subject of “advertising” inside the app. In return, I will not completely cover the app with advertising material.
