Barcode cannot be scanned

If a barcode cannot be scanned, this can be due to various reasons:

  • Not sufficient light
    Try to turn on the smartphone lamp. To do this, tap on the light bulb icon in the upper right corner. You can also try moving to a better lighted location.
  • Barcode is blurred
    If the focus of your smartphone is not adjusted automatically, you can try moving the phone away from or towards the product. Some smartphone cameras can also be focused semi-automatically by tapping the area to be scanned.
  • Image is sharp
    Make sure that the red bar in the camera runs with the barcode. It should run as parallel as possible to the barcode and be larger than the barcode itself.
  • Barcode is scanned but not found

If the listed suggestions don’t work, you can also insert the barcode manually.
First, type in the input field at the top to open the keyboard. Enter the complete number under the barcode and then tap the magnifying glass next to the input field.

This also allows multiple barcodes to be entered at once. Separate multiple barcodes with a comma ( , ).
