Register your account to protect yourself from data loss.
Your data will be backed up only on your own device without login.

If you change or lose your device, you will no longer be able to access the data.
With a registered account, your data is automatically synchronized with FoodFellow’s server.

The registration of your account is completely free of charge.
I finance the app and the servers exclusively through small advertisements within the app.

If you want to register, you should have the following data ready:

• A possible user name – However, it may be that your desired name is already taken.
• An email address for the validation of your account
• A password as secure as possible

Your username

Your username must be as unique as you are. For this reason, it is possible that your desired name is already taken.
Try your desired name with a combination of your favorite number or the first letter of your last name.

Your email address

Your email address is required to validate your account.
This will send you system-relevant information, such as the so-called “double opt-in” email or instructions on how to reset your password if you forget or lose it.
A newsletter will be sent to you only if you explicitly agree to it (the newsletter may be sent in the future). In this case you will be asked explicitly if you want it).

Before your account is activated after registration, you will receive an email with an activation link.
This is required by law.
This way I can make sure that you really have access to your email account or are the owner of the account.

Use a secure password

I recommend you to use a secure password.
This means that your password should meet the following criteria:

• At least 8 characters
• At least one capital letter
• At least one lowercase letter
• At least one number
• At least one special character

I have also developed a password generator that allows you to create secure and easy to remember passwords.

When logged in, the password can be changed at any time via the profile.
When logged out, there is also a “Forgot password” function that can be used to change the password. You can find it on the login page.
